Dear Mom,
I've pondered on what to give you for your birthday. I've never been a good gift-giver so this has been a challenge for me. After giving it some thought, I decided probably the best thing I could do would be to give you my thanks and appreciation for helping me find my way in this world. That's something I don't think I've done well enough over the years. I hope and pray you feel the same. Love ever and always.
